Pregnancy Care & Birth Center
When it comes to choosing a team to help you welcome your baby into the
world, Mile Bluff delivers. Our
pregnancy care providers give you the care you need throughout your pregnancy, and into the
delivery room.
When it comes time for your baby to arrive, you will deliver in one of
our private
birthing suites. They are designed for labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care
– which means you are in one room throughout your entire hospital
stay. There is plenty of space for your support team, as well as a place
for your partner to sleep.
Whether you delivery naturally or by C-section, you can be sure that our
birth center team uses state-of-the-art equipment for a safe delivery.

Breast Health
Mile Bluff's
Medical Imaging Department uses state-of-the-art mammography equipment to assess and diagnose
breast health concerns. In addition to being available by appointment,
mammograms are provided on a walk-in basis Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,
and Fridays, from 7:30 am to 4 pm. This convenience is open to those who
have a primary care provider in the Mile Bluff system, and do not have
any specific breast cancer concerns.
3D Mammography is available at Mile Bluff. 3D mammography is a screening tool used to
look for breast cancer. The technology provides clear, detailed images
to detect smaller cancers sooner, and to decrease the chance of false-positive
results and call-backs for additional imaging tests.
When a lump or questionable area is discovered in the breast,
stereotactic biopsies can also be performed right in Mauston.
If a breast cancer is detected, Mile Bluff also provides chemotherapy in the
Infusion & Cancer Care Department.
Bone Health
Mile Bluff's
Medical Imaging Department also provides bone density screenings. This technology uses
X-rays to measure how many grams of calcium and other bone minerals are
found in the bones. This can detect osteoporosis, which causes bones to
become brittle and can lead to breaks.
Pelvic Floor Health
Do you worry about what will happen if you sneeze or laugh too hard? If
you are one of the millions of people who experience urinary incontinence
(the loss of bladder control/bladder leakage), you know that even a little
sneeze can cause a big concern. You don't have to worry about accidental
leaks when saying "Achoo!" Help is available locally.
Using bladder training, biofeedback, therapeutic exercise, and other techniques, the
physical therapy team at Mile Bluff can help. The staff is specially trained to assess,
diagnose, and treat individuals with incontinence issues.
If you are experiencing urinary incontinence, ask your primary care provider
for a referral to Mile Bluff’s Rehabilitation Services Department
for pelvic floor therapy, or call 608-847-1422 for more information.
Our team of
gynecologists also provides non-surgical and surgical options to treat incontinence.
Nutrition Counseling
When you see a
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist at Mile Bluff, you will not be given a 'one-size-fits-all' plan.
Our nutrition experts will work with you to learn about your unique needs,
lifestyle, genetics, health history, and food preferences. From there,
you will work together to set realistic health goals for managing chronic
disease, food allergies and/or weight issues.
To schedule an appointment, ask your primary care provider for a referral
to see a registered dietitian nutritionist. Call 608-847-1295 for
