Ways to Give

Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation

Making a donation provides you with the opportunity to partner with Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation to positively impact the quality of care, the advancements of technology, and the continued offering of wellness programs and services that are available to your friends and neighbors. It is through the work of our generous donors like you, that the foundation is able to continue its mission.

Your partnerships and contributions make it possible to:

  • Provide the latest technology for medical excellence
  • Fund new and expanded healthcare facilities to meet the community's needs
  • Support healthcare and education programs, services, and initiatives that improve the health of the community
  • Provide advanced diagnostic capabilities locally

If you would like to provide support to the community through the foundation, download a donation form or give online.

Donation Options

Unrestricted Funds

These gifts provide flexibility to meet the most urgent needs of the medical center. The donations are used wherever the need is greatest. Unrestricted funds are utilized following approval by the medical center's leadership and the foundation's board of directors.

Restricted Funds

If you would like to make a donation to a specific foundation cause or fund, see the list below for some giving opportunities.

  • Equipment Fund - Contributions to this fund are used to purchase vital medical equipment needed at the medical center and its outreach facilities.
  • Building Fund - Contributions to the building are applied toward necessary medical center construction, expansion and remodeling.
  • Carol Purvis Education Fund - This fund provides scholarships to Mile Bluff employees who are considering advancing their career in healthcare, and who are committed to Mile Bluff and serving the community.
  • Nurses Helping Nurses - This program was established after Mile Bluff's nursing staff expressed interest in helping other nurses continue their education. The program provides scholarships and other assistance to those who have an associate's degree in nursing, and would like to obtain a bachelor's degree or higher.

Memorials and Honorariums

This is a wonderful way to remember and honor loved ones and friends. You can memorialize someone special in your life while helping those in need. Donations can be unrestricted, or can be given for a specific department, area of need, or to a designated fund.

Endowments and Major Gifts

An endowment is a simple, yet meaningful way, for a charitable organization to grow and better serve its community. A donor makes a gift of an endowment. The gift is then invested by the organization to generate annual income, while the original contribution is preserved. That principal increases its value through investment. Only a percentage of the endowment's value is used annually to help fulfill the organization's mission.

Charitable Bequests

Bequests are financial gifts that are made through wills, and are a way of providing long-term support to an organization. A provision is made in your will or living trust that provides all or a portion of your estate to pass on to a charitable organization. If you wish to establish a charitable bequest, speak with an attorney to define the terms of your will or living trust.
