Are you looking for a new way to stay in shape, increase your range of
motion, or improve your overall wellness? Mile Bluff offers aquatic fitness
classes for people of all ages and fitness levels. Exercising in the water
can be a great way to get physical activity into your life. No healthcare
provider referrals are needed to use this program, and you don’t
need to know how to swim to join.
Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your
bones, joints and muscles. The water provides natural resistance, which
can help strengthen your muscles. Water exercise can also improve heart
health, reduce stress, and improve muscular endurance and strength.
The Wet & Well fitness program is a six-week course taught by Mile
Bluff’s licenced athletic trainers. Classes are held Mondays and
Thursdays from 10 to 11 am at the Mauston Community Pool. The program
is designed so that you can continue the activities on your own after
you complete the course.
Wet & Well consists of 12 sessions over the course of six weeks, and
costs just $78.50. For more information, or to register for Wet &
Well, call 608-847-1422. Class sizes are limited, so sign up today and
jump in. The water’s fine!
