About Katie
Katie had not always planned to become a physician assistant
(PA). Before becoming a PA, Katie was a marketing and business teacher for a number of years until her own patient experiences sparked a desire to make a difference in the world of healthcare.
Transitioning from teaching to the medical field was natural because Katie has always had a desire to help, serve, and educate others. As a provider, Katie listens to her patients, and likes to educate them about their condition and treatment options.
Katie enjoys working the fast-paced environment of Urgent Care. Even though she is only caring for patients for a short time, she does like learning more about patients' lives and the community she is serving.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her large extended family, baking, and crafting. She also has a rather adventurous spirit, and enjoys kiteboarding and snowboarding.
