Your Hospital Stay

The team at Mile Bluff Medical Center wants you to feel safe and comfortable. Here is some information to help you get ready.

Registration

When you come to the hospital, go in through the main entrance. You will find the registration desk in the lobby. Friendly staff will help you find your way.

To register, please bring:

  • A photo ID
  • Your insurance card
  • Anything else your doctor told you to bring

If you are having surgery, someone from Mile Bluff will call you 1–2 days before. They will tell you what time to come and how to get ready.

What to Bring

  • For kids: A favorite blanket, toy, or comfort item
  • For patients: A small bag with things like a toothbrush, razor, slippers, robe, deodorant, and comb
  • If you use a CPAP machine for sleep, bring it with you
  • Your insurance card
  • Your photo ID

Other Tips

  • Wear loose, comfy clothes
  • Don’t wear makeup or lipstick
  • If you’re having surgery, take off rings, nail polish, jewelry, and body piercings before you come
  • Leave money, credit cards, and other valuables at home
