Dr. Ponshock is passionate about rural medicine and is thrilled to be serving in the community. Originally from Rhode Island, she and her husband, along with their two fur babies, have relocated to the area to enjoy the lifestyle and provide exceptional care to the local population.
Dr. Ponshock serves as the Medical Director of Obstetrics at Mile Bluff. Her commitment to rural healthcare has been a guiding force throughout her career. She has had the opportunity to serve in diverse rural settings, from a small island off the coast of New England to rural Alaska and Nebraska. These experiences have strengthened her dedication to improving healthcare access and outcomes in rural communities.
Her approach to care is centered on collaboration with her patients. Dr. Ponshock believes in partnering with each patient to create a personalized care plan. She prioritizes education, ensuring her patients are well-informed and actively involved in making decisions that best suit their needs and concerns. By listening closely to what matters most to her patients, Dr. Ponshock is able to provide thoughtful, patient-centered care.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Ponshock enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling, and traveling with her husband. She looks forward to building strong relationships with her patients and contributing to the health and wellness of her community.
