Mile Bluff Medical Center is proud to partner with Healogics®, the nation's leading provider of wound care services. Mile Bluff already offers high-quality wound care services, and this partnership provides additional resources and treatment options for patients. Healogics works with more than 600 hospitals across the country to provide wound care treatments and support. Together, they are enhancing care for people with wounds that are slow to heal.

"This partnership allows us to build on the excellent services we already provide," said Erin Stanila, a Mile Bluff nurse. "By combining the expertise of our nursing staff with increased provider oversight and Healogics' resources, we can help more patients heal and return to their normal activities sooner."

Mile Bluff's Wound Care Center treats chronic and non-healing wounds to help patients recover faster, avoid complications, and improve their quality of life. These may include wounds related to diabetes, wounds from surgery, pressure sores, and other wounds that have not healed with regular care.

Without proper treatment, wounds can lead to serious problems such as infection, hospital stays, limited movement, and, in some cases, limb loss. Getting care early can help prevent these complications and improve healing.

Having access to wound care close to home means less travel for patients and the support of a dedicated team of Mile Bluff experts. Through its partnership with Healogics, Mile Bluff is enhancing the wound care services it already provides by adding more resources, specialized support, and proven treatment methods.

If you have a wound that is not healing properly, talk to your primary care provider about a referral to Mile Bluff's Wound Care Center.
