Dedicated employees are at the heart of Mile Bluff Medical Center's mission to provide exceptional healthcare to the community. Each year, the organization hosts its Employee Recognition Banquet to honor employees reaching milestone years of service. The event provides an opportunity to pause and reflect on the remarkable work being done throughout the organization while celebrating the individuals whose dedication, compassion, and commitment have helped shape Mile Bluff into what it is today.

In September, Mile Bluff gathered to honor 81 employees celebrating milestones ranging from five years to an incredible 40 and 45 years. Together, this year's honorees represent more than 1,060 years of service to the organization.

Mile Bluff President and CEO Dara Bartels welcomed guests and reflected on the collective impact employees have made throughout their years of service. “Your years at Mile Bluff represent thousands of interactions with patients, residents, families, coworkers, and members of our communities,” shared Bartels. She emphasized the lasting impact long-serving employees have on the organization. “When someone has given 10, 20, 30, 40, or more years to an organization, they have helped shape the organization. You have helped build Mile Bluff's culture, reputation, and connection to the communities we serve.”

During the recognition ceremony, Bartels introduced members of Mile Bluff's Board of Directors and executive team, thanking them for their continued support and dedication to the organization. She then welcomed each honoree to the stage for a personal thank you. Joe Whitmer, chair of the Board of Directors, assisted in presenting recipients with certificates and commemorative years-of-service pins.

In addition to recognizing employees, Mile Bluff honored board member Denny Loging for 10 years of dedicated service on the Board of Directors.

Bartels concluded the evening by expressing her appreciation to employees for their dedication and commitment. “Thank you for choosing to spend so many years of your career with Mile Bluff. Thank you for the work you do, the people you have cared for, the coworkers you have supported, and the difference you continue to make.”
