Memory Cafe

Those with dementia and their loved ones are invited to connect, share, and grow with others in similar situations at a Memory Café in Mauston.

A Memory Cafe is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their loved ones can socialize, listen to music, play games, and enjoy other engaging activities. The cafe provides the opportunity for mutual support and exchange of information.

A mix between a support group and a social outing, Mauston’s Memory Café will be held the third Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Hatch Public Library.

Open to the community, this is a place to interact among people who know the daily challenges of dementia, to leave behind limitations, and focus on strengths.

The café will be facilitated by Nancy Thacker, Outreach Specialist with the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin. These sessions are for anyone diagnosed with dementia and those providing care for someone with dementia.

This Memory Café is made possible by your community health partners, Mile Bluff Medical Center, the ADRC of Eagle Country, and the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin.
