Those with dementia and their loved ones are invited to connect, share,
and grow with others in similar situations at a Memory Café in Mauston.
A Memory Cafe is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their
loved ones can socialize, listen to music, play games, and enjoy other
engaging activities. The cafe provides the opportunity for mutual support
and exchange of information.
A mix between a support group and a social outing, Mauston’s Memory
Café will be held the third Thursday of every month from 1:30 to
3:00 pm at Hatch Public Library.
Open to the community, this is a place to interact among people who know
the daily challenges of dementia, to leave behind limitations, and focus
The café will be facilitated by Nancy Thacker, Outreach Specialist
with the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin. These sessions
are for anyone diagnosed with dementia and those providing care for someone
