Construction Update: Phase Two Underway

At Mile Bluff, we are committed to continually improving the healthcare experience for our patients, families, and community. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our facilities and services, we are pleased to share an update on our multi-phase construction project.

Phase One Complete

The first phase of the project concluded with the opening of the Mile Bluff Gateway Center in Mauston last year. The new facility is home to Mile Bluff Pharmacy, Urgent Care, and dialysis services.

Phase Two Underway

Phase Two includes three major projects designed to improve patient access, enhance workflows for staff, and support exceptional care for years to come.

Medical Imaging Department Remodel

Construction is currently underway in the Medical Imaging Department to accommodate a new MRI machine. Work began May 4 and is expected to take approximately three to four months to complete. The addition of updated imaging technology will help us continue providing advanced diagnostic services close to home.

Registration Area Improvements

Construction on a new hospital registration area (shown above) began June 8 and is expected to be completed by mid-August.

During construction:

• Temporary walls have been installed around the current main lobby seating area.
• The existing registration area and check-in process will continue to operate as usual.
• Registration staff will be available to guide patients and visitors to the appropriate waiting areas and assist with check-in throughout the project.

The new registration area is being designed to create a more welcoming first impression, provide a clearly visible check-in location, and support more personalized, face-to-face interactions.

Emergency Department Remodel

Following completion of the registration area project, construction will begin on a remodel of the Emergency Department. Work is expected to start in mid-August and continue for approximately six to nine months.
