Emergency Department Remodel

At Mile Bluff, we are committed to continually improving the healthcare experience for our patients, families, and community. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our facilities and services, we'd like to share an update on our multi-phase construction project and what you can expect in the coming weeks.

Medical Imaging Department Remodel

Construction in the Medical Imaging Department continues as we prepare for the installation of a new MRI machine. Remodeling is expected to be completed by the end of August.

The addition of updated imaging technology will help us continue providing advanced diagnostic services close to home.

New Hospital Registration Area Nearing Completion

Construction on the new hospital registration area is expected to be completed by August 14, with plans to open the new space to patients on August 17.

The new registration area has been designed to create a more welcoming first impression, provide a clearly visible check-in location, and support more personalized, face-to-face interactions.

As construction progresses, the temporary walls currently located in the new registration area will be relocated around the existing hospital registration area to allow work on the Emergency Department remodel to begin.

Emergency Department Temporary Relocation

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, Mile Bluff's Emergency Department will temporarily relocate to the 400 hallway of Acute Care while the existing Emergency Department undergoes renovation.

Patients needing emergency care should enter through the Hospital Main Entrance, where they will register at a dedicated emergency registration station located at the hospital's main registration desk. Staff will be available to direct patients to the temporary Emergency Department.

EMS, law enforcement, and other emergency responders will use the handicap-accessible side entrance near Mile Bluff's Infusion & Wound Center. This entrance will remain open to the public during regular business hours throughout construction. Please be aware that increased emergency vehicle traffic is expected in this area.

After hours, all patients and visitors should use the Hospital Main Entrance.

Emergency Department Remodel

Renovation of the existing Emergency Department is scheduled to begin on August 17 and is expected to take six to nine months to complete.

The remodeled department will enhance the patient experience with improved privacy, updated treatment spaces, and more efficient workflows that support high-quality emergency care.

Thank You for Your Patience

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these important improvements continue. While construction may cause temporary changes to the way you access certain services, our team is committed to making your visit as smooth and convenient as possible.

We will continue to provide updates throughout the project and share any changes that may affect your visit.
