Construction Update
from Mile Bluff's Gateway Project
In November 2022, Mile Bluff purchased the former Shopko building in Mauston. Now referred to as the "Gateway Building," it provides more that 26,000 square feet of space that will serve as the new home for Mile Bluff's Mauston dialysis unit, urgent care, and Mile Bluff Pharmacies.
July Progress:
Crews on site: Market & Johnson, Hallmark Drywall, Kish Electric, Momchilovich Drywall and Painting, Modern Crane, Winona Controls
- Framing in windows and doors in vestibule area
- Interior framing around perimeter of building
- Set FRP frames and hardware
- Hanging conduit throughout mechanical room for lighting and outlets
- Temporary light in storage area
- Framing new water room area
- Fire walls constructed to separate treatment area from reception area
- Painting drywall ceilings in entrance areas
- Prime and paint exterior metal wall panels
- Rolled steel tube for conference room window installed
- Assembly of air handler in the mechanical room
- Piping control valves to VAV's
Fundraising Update
To support the Gateway and Emergency Department expansion project, Mile
Bluff Medical Center Foundation has launched a capital fundraising campaign -
For You. With You. - with the goal of raising $5 million to help offset the costs of this
$17 million project.
If you are interested in supporting the future of local healthcare, Mile Bluff is accepting one-time or multi-year pledges (3-5 years) electronically, face-to-face, or via mail.
