Infusion Therapy

Infusion therapy or injection services are available as an outpatient service at Mile Bluff. This form treatment is delivered directly into your bloodstream or under your skin by IV or injection. Infusion therapy may be needed when your condition cannot be treated effectively by pills or other oral medications.

Infusion and injection services are available to treat conditions such as allergies, iron deficiency, Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis and more.

Infusion services include:

  • Antibiotic treatments
  • Allergy injections
  • Immunotherapy
  • Infusions for iron supplements, blood products, osteoporosis, rheumatology, nephrology, gastroenterology, neurology, and more

What to Expect as an Infusion Patient

Treatments are provided in private rooms that include comfortable treatment chairs, television sets, Wi-Fi, private restrooms, and windows with a view. In addition, there are often iPads available for patients to use during treatments. Room service is also available for those who need something to eat during extended treatments.

Infusion Therapy appointments at Mile Bluff are available between 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Mile Bluff's team of registered nurses work closely with patients' primary care providers and specialists, as well as hospital pharmacists, to provide the best individualized care possible.
