In August, Mile Bluff also welcomed Ashlie Dushek, PA-C to the Emergency
& Urgent Care team.
For as long as she can remember, Ashlie wanted to work in medicine. “I
enjoy working with people and find a medical career to be very rewarding
in many ways,” says Ashlie. “This field of work always keeps
me wondering, thinking and learning. I just can’t imagine doing
anything else.”
Ashlie grew up near Pittsville. She completed her Bachelor of Science in
biology from UW - La Crosse. After working for two years doing in-home
care for individuals who were unable to care for themselves, Ashlie completed
a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from UW - Madison.
During her clinical rotations, Ashlie spent time at Mile Bluff.
“As a student, I rotated through many different healthcare facilities.
I felt most at home at Mile Bluff, and I loved the employees and patients,”
explains Ashlie. “I was attracted to Mile Bluff because I love rural
living and rural medicine. I feel that my values align well here.”
Outside of work, Ashlie enjoys spending time with her family and friends,
traveling, and helping her dad on the cranberry marsh.
