Gather your friends and return to the Juneau County Women’s Night
Out on Thursday, October 3 at Mauston High School. Join us as we celebrate
friendship, explore new paths for wellness, and – most importantly
discover our passions in life.
Starting at 4 pm, area women are invited to enjoy dinner, visit health
and wellness exhibits, participate in raffles, take part in interactive
sessions, and check out what area vendors have to offer. During the event
there will also be a women’s health panel that focuses on breast
health and the 3D Mammography technology that is coming to Mile Bluff.
The event will conclude with keynote speaker, Jessica Turner. As a Wall
Street Journal best-selling author and popular lifestyle blogger, Jessica
will help you rediscover your passions all while balancing the demands
of careers, motherhood, and life.
What do you love to do? What makes your heart leap when you think about
it? If you don’t know, then it’s time to figure it out. Everyone
has that special something that brings them joy, but being busy can often
prevent that hobby from flourishing. Jessica will help you understand
your life’s obstacles and inspire you to pursue your passions.
“Prioritizing self-care and making time for your passions is one
of the greatest gifts you can give yourself,” advocates Jessica.
“Every woman is born with unique talents and desires. It is important
that we give ourselves the opportunity for exploration and outward expression
of those passions. When we take care of ourselves, we are able to fulfill
all our other roles more completely because we are not running on empty.”
After taking a year off to focus on men’s health, the Juneau County
Women’s Health Initiative, a division of Mile Bluff Medical Center
Foundation, is excited to provide this event for area women once again.
“Men’s Night Out was a great success last year and our plan
is to alternate between the two events,” explains Martha Airth-Kindree,
foundation executive director. “We’re eager to reconnect with
the women of Juneau County and help them to connect with local healthcare
and community resources.”
Jessica echoes the importance of events that bring women together. “I
love events like Women’s Night Out! We all need time with other
women to feel connected, understood and loved,” says Jessica. “Friendship
is one of life’s greatest gifts. I hope that women who attend this
year’s event will feel empowered to practice self-care with a renewed
dedication, knowing that when they do they will be living a more healthy,
whole life.”
Women’s Night Out is designed to educate and encourage you to connect
with local healthcare resources, community groups, and area vendors, all
while having fun with women from your area.
