Attention men of Juneau County… the great outdoors, and your health,
is calling.
Join the guys on Thursday, October 4 from 5-8 pm at the American Legion
Hall in Mauston for Men’s Night Out. At this FREE event, you can
hear the latest in hunting fishing and outdoor sports, enjoy demonstrations
and raffles, as well as learn from local health experts. This event will
also feature health screenings, beer tastings from Hillsboro Brewing Company
and food from Wisconsin River Meats.
Later in the evening, we’ll hear from Anna Schotthoefer, PhD as she
presents “Tick Talk.” Tick-borne illnesses are a growing issue
across the country. Anna will share information about how to protect yourself
when you are out in the woods.
The event will conclude with words from a local outdoors expert. Necedah
native, Mark Walters will draw from his experience as an avid hunter and
writer as he shares “An Outdoorsman’s Adventure: My life in
the wild.”
Men’s Night Out is presented by Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation
as an opportunity for area men to connect with health and wellness resources.
