Lynn Schuebel, PA-C now providing family medicine care in Necedah

Mile Bluff is pleased to welcome Lynn Schuebel, PA-C to the healthcare team at Necedah Family Medical Center. With over 30 years of experience, this Baraboo native is excited to provide family medicine care to the Necedah community.

Throughout her life, Lynn has had a desire to help others. “I started out my adult life not really knowing what I wanted to do. I just knew I liked medicine,” recalled Lynn. “I started as a medical secretary, but chose to go back to school when the PA program was offered at UW Madison.”
Being a physician assistant gave Lynn the opportunity to raise her family, while still being involved with the health of the community. “I enjoy providing one-on-one patient care, and love that every day is different.”

As a provider, Lynn views her patients as valuable partners in health. “I like to see patients take ownership in their health,” explained Lynn. “I help patients learn how to set and meet health goals by modifying their lifestyle. I think patients can make a big impact on their health by making small improvements in their lives.”

Coming from a close-knit community herself, Lynn is looking forward to meeting and learning more about patients in the Necedah area. “I like knowing the patients I am treating, and I think patients find a comfort in that too,” said Lynn. “I want people to feel comfortable when they come to see me.”

In addition to wanting to meet her patients, Lynn is eager to settle into the Mile Bluff team. “Mile Bluff really seems to value the individuality of its patients, and respect their needs. It is very evident to me that the organization has many services that complement each other,” explained Lynn. “As a provider, it is nice to be able to refer my patients to Mile Bluff services to keep them close to home and to get them the care they need quickly.”

“I really like helping my patients and demystifying healthcare for them,” continued Lynn. “Having been a patient myself, and having helped family members with health challenges, I have empathy for my patients. As a provider, I really try to understand the impact someone’s health may have on his/her family, and I help everyone deal with some of those uncertainties.”

In her free time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children, as well as sewing, doing crafts, reading and traveling.
