According to Feeding America, a national network of food banks, 1 in 9
people in Wisconsin are struggling with hunger. While food may be available,
many people are food insecure, meaning there is a lack of access to enough
food for all household members.
With the devastating impact hunger and food insecurity can have on children,
families and individuals, Mile Bluff Pharmacies are looking to make a
difference by holding a food drive for local pantries.
From Monday, October 22 to Sunday, October 28, Mile Bluff Pharmacies are
asking community members to bring non-perishable food items to any of
the organization’s pharmacy and dispensing service locations. Once
all of the donations are collected, food will be distributed to the local
pantries in Mauston, New Lisbon, and Elroy.
The food drive is being held during National Pharmacy Week. As long standing
community health partners, Mile Bluff, Phillips HealthMart Pharmacy, and
Raabe’s HealthMart Pharmacy are excited to bring this “Pharm
to Tables” food drive to the communities in order to help local families.
If you would like to contribute to the food drive during the week of October
22, collections will be available at:
- Elroy Family Medical Center – Elroy
- Mile Bluff Medical Center – Mauston
- Phillips HealthMart Pharmacy – Mauston
- Raabe’s HealthMart Pharmacy – New Lisbon
- Necedah Family Medical Center – Necedah
