These are common
feelings and few of us are immune to them. We at Mile Bluff
Medical Center are concerned about your welfare as a whole person.
We are concerned about your spiritual and psychological needs as well as
your physical needs.
For this reason, Mile Bluff
Medical Center employs a full-time Chaplain who heads up the Pastoral Care
Department. Office hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through
Friday. He is also on call 24 hours a day for emergency situations.
Who is Our Chaplain?
Rev. Jeffrey D. Fairchild. He is an experienced ordained minister
trained in counseling and pastoral care ministry. He is ecumenical
in ministry to patients and works closely with area clergy to make the
best effort to meet the needs of patients in the hospital and nursing
home.
To get pastoral care, call
847 6161 ext 217 during business hours. You can also request
Chaplaincy services through your nurse or other health care
provider. In an emergency, the Chaplain can be contacted through the
hospital switchboard or paged through one of the nursing stations.

families and hospital staff

Daily rounds in the patient care area

Visits to Long Term Care residents as
requested

Make contact with religious leaders of
patient's choice

Home Health and Hospice home visits
and counseling

Grief support services

Arranging communion and other
sacraments.
