Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE)

The Industrial Rehab therapists are certified to perform the Isernhagen FCE, which is an objective evaluation used to determine someone’s maximum functional abilities. This two-day evaluation is a great tool to use to determine if a worker is ready to return to work, or to determine at what level the worker can safely perform his/her job.  The FCE is also used to determine disability ratings.Ý

Return-to-Work Assessments

The Return-to-Work Assessment is an abbreviated two-day FCE designed to assist the physician, or employer to establish safe guidelines for employees to return to work following an injury or extended absence.

The Return-to-Work Assessment is also used to assist with the determination of physical abilities for displaced or de-conditioned individuals seeking employment after an extended period of time off work.Ý

Pre-Employment Screens

The Industrial Rehab team is ready to assist you in the development of post-offer, pre-employment screens. These screens are used to ensure that the employees "are a match" for the job you have offered them.

This decreases the chances of injury because of the worker not being physically capable of completing the essential functions of the job.Ý

Work Conditioning

Work Conditioning services are available in the clinic-setting.  Work conditioning programs are personalized and designed to get the worker back-to-work quickly and safely. This program uses job simulation as well as exercise to meet the worker’s goals.

After program completion, an FCE is recommended to ensure the worker’s maximum functional abilities are not exceeded.Ý

 On-site Ergonomics & Injury Management:

Ergonomics & Body Mechanics Training

Our Industrial Rehab team can arrange quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or new-employee training on topics ranging from office ergonomics to heavy-duty body mechanics.

Training sessions are customized to your industry and may include dynamic instruction, demonstration, various media resources and exercises.Ý

Early Intervention

The moment an employee experiences aches, pains, or other early warning signs of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), the employee makes an appointment with the on-site rehab practitioner. By catching the problem early, there is an excellent chance to halt, or even reverse, the employees symptoms. Conservative treatment and/or temporary modified-duty options may be implemented.  This keeps the employee at work and "on the job",  increasing employee morale while decreasing lost time accidents.Ý

On-Site Therapy

Under contract, our team of provides skilled occupational therapy, physical therapy, and athletic training services at significant cost savings. Rehabilitative services are provided under the supervision of the employee’s physician or chiropractor using a wide variety of treatment techniques and modalities.Ý

Work Hardening

On-site Work Hardening programs may be specially designed to transition the employee back to full-duty following an extended absence or period of modified duty. Work Hardening programs are designed and coordinated by the rehab practitioners in collaboration with the employee’s supervisor.Ý

Job Analysis

Job Analysis will generate a functional job description. This job description, which meets ADA requirements, identifies essential and marginal job functions. It can also provide structure to modified or light-duty programs and provide objective data to aid in an employee’s return-to-work.Ý

Ergonomic Analysis

Ergonomic Analysis can be done on an individual basis to address a particular worker’s problem or on a general basis to detect problems with a particular workstation. Not only are the risk factors identified, but recommendations are made to correct the problem.Ý

Worksite Health Promotion
