BENEFITS Mile Bluff Medical Center understands the importance of preserving your independence while continuing to provide you with assistance should an emergency occur.
Having a Helpline Unit installed in your home will help you continue to live independently and give yourself and your family added peace of mind.
A bad fall or medical emergency can happen to anyone, at any time. With a Helpline Unit from Mile Bluff Medical Center, you will know that help is a button press away.
It’s affordable at a little more than a dollar a day. No long term contracts or expensive equipment to buy.
Quick access to help, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our Helpline services are available to all Juneau County residents. how it works:Summon Help: When you need help, just press your Personal Help Button, which activates the Helpline Unit.
Professional Intervention: Your Helpline Unit then dials the Response Center and establishes a two-way voice communication with you. This is through the speaker located within your Helpline Unit.
Personal Response: Within seconds, a Response Center Associate accesses your profile and quickly assesses your current situation.
Closed Loop: The Associate then contacts a neighbor, loved one, or emergency services, based on your specific needs. The Associate will continue to stay on the line with you to ensure that help has arrived.
The Personal Response Associate is able to summon an ambulance, police, or fire and rescue personnel.
Helpline Equipment & setup:Mile Bluff Medical Center provides you with a Helpline Unit, Personal Help Button, installation, and setup at your convenience.
The Personal Help Button is a wireless device worn as a pendant or wristband. It is waterproof and may be worn while bathing or doing dishes.
The Helpline Unit connects directly to your existing landline telephone.
Our maintenance personnel will contact you to set up a day and time for installation, and test the unit. When you need help-just push the button. It’s that easy!
How Do I Sign Up? Some forms will need to be completed to get you set up for the Helpline. Please contact our Helpline Coordinator in our Social Service Department at 608-847-6161 to discuss what information is needed. We will be happy to meet with you and complete the paperwork.
Give the Gift of Independence You can’t always be there for an aging parent, or loved one who lives alone. But you can help increase their confidence to live independently and ease your fears with a Helpline Unit. A low cost Helpline subscription will help assure that your loved one will get help quickly. A family member or friend is allowed to pay for the subscription if they so chose. A Helpline Unit will provide your loved one with the gift of independence while staying safe!
