Individual ProgramsCardiac Rehabilitation—Supervised exercise and education program for those who have had a heart attack, heart surgery, angioplasty or have risk factors for heart disease. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. May last for up to 12 weeks.Heart Check—A one-on-one screening
appointment designed to help assess your risk for developing heart disease.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, weight and lipid (cholesterol) measurements
are done. Individualized recommendations for a heart-healthy lifestyle
are then given. The cost is $35.
Nutrition Counseling—Attend
personalized counseling with a dietitian to evaluate current eating habits and
to develop a plan for improved nutrition and health. Available for those interested in diabetic, weight loss, low
fat/cholesterol diets, as well as those with other nutritional needs.
Diabetes Instruction—One-on-one
educational sessions with a registered nurse for instruction on insulin
administration, blood sugar testing and other diabetic management needs.
Smoking Cessation Counseling—One-on-one counseling sessions set up weekly for four weeks to help you stop smoking. Can be done in person or over the phone.“I Can Cope” This FREE six-session program is offered to individual, family members and friends of those suffering with Cancer. Offered in March and September at 6:30 p.m., these classes offer the knowledge and support needed to help deal with the physical and emotional aspects of living with Cancer.Diabetes Self-Management Class Led by a nurse, dietician, and pharmacist. This class is designed to give diabetics information needed to better manage and live with diabetes. Offered in April and October.

Grief Support Group—Led by
the medical center's chaplain. Designed to help those dealing with all types of emotional
grief.
Depression Support Group—Led by
the medical center chaplain whose
training emphasized counseling those who are depressed.
Breast-Feeding Support Group-Mothers who are breast-feeding their babies are invited to meet other nursing mothers, to ask questions and share experiences.FREE
