Mile Bluff’s Delton Family Medical Center has added back screenings to its upcoming health fair event, being held Thursday, March 18. Not only will you have the opportunity to receive blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar testing, you will also have the chance to get free back screenings performed by a state-licensed physical therapist that is also certified in specialized spine treatments. Appointments for the screenings are available between 7 and 11 am, and there is a small fee for cholesterol tests. Mile Bluff’s healthcare professionals will review the results with you right after your tests are completed, and give you tips on how to reduce your risks for developing diabetes and heart disease. Results will be sent to your primary care provider as well. The information obtained from these tests, along with the educational tools you will receive from the healthcare professionals, are the first steps in becoming proactive in your health and reducing your risk for developing disease.
