Learn to be heart smart at Mile Bluff February 24 by Kathy Behnke Your age, weight, family health history and diet are just a few of the things that play a part in your risk for developing heart disease. In honor of American Heart Month, the Health Promotion Department of Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston is sponsoring “Be Heart Smart.” The free presentation will focus on making the right choices when it comes to the decisions that affect the health of your heart. The event will be held Tuesday, February 24 at 7 pm in Mile Bluff’s Community Room and will include the presentation, heart-healthy snacks, free blood pressure checks before and after the presentation, and a chance to win door prizes. During the evening, Mile Bluff’s healthcare professionals will help you identify your risk factors for heart disease, and teach you how to manage each of those risks to decrease your chances of getting heart disease.
