Shari Sarazin performs at Terrace Heights Retirement Community By Amanda Emery
There are not too many performers out there who would tell you to “…tilt your
head back, close your eyes and listen to the soothing sounds of my music as you
drift off.” But that is just what harpist and vocalist, Shari Sarazin,
instructed her audience to do during her recent concert at Terrace Heights
Retirement Community in Mauston. On November 16, Shari was warmly welcomed by the many individuals who came to hear her play seasonal tunes - including a song in honor of the upcoming deer hunting season. Some of the musical selections she performed included Eleanor Plunkit, We Gather Together, A Jewish Sabbath Prayer, As the Deer, and of course the number she begins every performance with - Amazing Grace. Over the years, this has been one of the favorite performers at Terrace Heights, and it is easy to see why. With Thanksgiving approaching, Shari had this to say, “During this time of the year, I think it is fitting to reflect on all the things in life that you are thankful for, and for me, one of those things is all of you. Without audiences like you, my music wouldn’t have a voice. So, thank you!” This is just one of the many public events that takes place each year at Terrace Heights Retirement Community. Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 12 at 2 pm for an afternoon of entertainment as the tenants invite you to join them in welcoming pianist Shawn Steffan (as seen at Women’s Night Out).
