Mile Bluff Medical Center’s Reverend Fairchild recognized with award

  By Amanda Emery

On Thursday, March 19, Mile Bluff Medical Center’s Reverend Jeff Fairchild was one of two people presented with the Crystal Vision Award at the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin’s third annual “Gift of Sight ~ Gift of Life” luncheon in Madison.  The distinction acknowledges professionals who have made an incredible difference in the lives of others and have been instrumental in building awareness in the field of eye, tissue and organ donation.

Lions Liaison Past District Governor Jerry Rabbach submitted a nomination to the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin based on the work Reverend Fairchild has done at Mile Bluff Medical Center.  Not only has he served as the Director of Pastoral Care and the Director of Volunteers in Mauston for over 18 years, but he is the chairperson of the Organ and Tissue Procurement Team, and in 1998 became a certified organ, tissue and eye designated requestor.  His leadership in these areas has helped Mile Bluff earn special recognition for its donation efforts the past four years in a row.

Mile Bluff is pleased to congratulate Reverend Jeff Fairchild on his Crystal Vision Award; his dedication has helped bring awareness to the Gift of Sight ~ Gift of Life!
