Look Good . . . Feel Better -     Monday, February 6 

The event is a two-hour, hands-on workshop with a ‘Look Good…Feel Better’ volunteer beauty professional.  During the meeting, participants will learn nail care techniques and a 12-step skin care/make-up application process.  Ladies will also learn about available options for dealing with hair loss - including wigs, scarves and accessories.

‘Look Good…Feel Better’ is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral public service program.  It was created to help women with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem and ultimately manage their treatment and recovery with confidence.  Through its group meetings, self-help materials, web sites and brochures, ‘Look Good…Feel Better’ offers women advice for coping with the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatments.

If you are a lady who is receiving cancer treatments, and would like to ‘Look Good…Feel Better,’ come to Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston on Monday, February 6 from 1 to 3 pm.  As a participant, you will take home free make-up kits, program information and a rebuilt self-esteem to face your treatments with added confidence.  The session is free and open to any woman currently going through cancer treatments at any healthcare facility, but registration is required.  Call Rhonda Larson at 608-847-9877 for more information and to register.
